Jackson Hole

THE TOWN:
This weekend our family went to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I have never been there. It was so much fun going somewhere new. Jackson Hole is a very charming town with a old west feel. When you first get into old town you see big arches made of antlers. As you can see below Zac had fun trying to pull them out but he had no luck.
At 6:00 pm everyday they do a show in the middle of old town. They have a shoot out and dancing. Zac thought it was a little scary. After the show we ate at the best Burger place. It was 20 times better then in-n-out.
Zac went swimming for the first time. He didn't seem to scared.

WHITE WATER RAFTING:
I have a list of things I want to do before I'm 30. One of the things on that list is white water rafting. This was the highlight of the whole trip. Anyone that knows me well, knows that I LOVE the water. Ethan's Mom watched Zac for us when we went down the river and his dad was the one that setup the trip. So thanks to them I was able to go.

It was so much fun. Everyone keep pushing the people next to them out of the raft. The best part was, we could swim down some rapids if we wanted. It was me and two other guys that did it. I will never forget how much fun that was. Below is a picture of us going down the river. It is hard to see but we are on the left side of the picture.
I blew it up so you can see it better. TETON NATIONAL PARK:
All I can say is B-E-A-Utiful! Ethan always talked about the Tetons but till I saw them in person I had no idea what he was talking about. We went for a hike up to a waterfall called Hidden falls. It was a 4.5 mile hike. Zac made it halfway and Ethan took him back. I was able to go all the way up to the waterfall. After that we drove around and saw so many animals.

HOW ZAC DID:
It was Zacs first major road trip. It is 5.5 hours each way. I was so surprised on how well he did. He looked out the window, watched moves, and slept. His new favorite show to watch is "The Muppet Show". Once we got there he loved being outside so much. He even told me "I love you". That made my heart melt! I hope he does that well for our trip to Washington that is 13 hours each way.

And the winner is.......

Yesterday a friend and I were talking about places we would like to live in the U.S. She told me about a website called http://www.findyourspot.com/ . You take a quiz and it tells you the top 24 places you should live. And winner is.....
1. Greenville, South Carolina

That is so funny! I always wanted to live on the east coast! The rest of the top 5 are........

2. Norfork, Virginia

3. Augusta, Georgia

4. Chesapeake-Virginia Beach, Virginia

5. Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Ethan was happy about the results for two reasons, 1. He loves Virginia. 2. It didn't say California at all! I would love to move back to California but Ethan doesn't because it's to expensive. I was surprised it had nothing on the west coast at all. I think it's because it asked what I would pay for a average home I put 220,000 to 240,000. Oh Chemenn, alot of the spots where in Tennessee. Anyways it was a fun quiz to take.

My little Dino

Today we went back to the Dinosaur museum with some friends. We try to go often because it is part of our Thanksgiving Point pass. I think the best age to get the most out of the museum is 6-12 years. But, there is alot for younger kids to enjoy. Even Zac loves this place. When we go threw the museum he points at everything and says "see". I think Zac's going to be a Dino boy.
Zac also had fun with his new girlfriend. He would hold her hand and give his snacks to her.
My camra started to go crazy. It took pictures out of focus and in a crazy color.

I like this one.

On my camra it has a setting were you can point it at any color and that color will be brought out in that picture. I was trying to put it back to normal and it went to red. That is how I ended up with this picture.

Happy 4th of July!

It is 2:00 am and I can't sleep. Ethan left to go to Jackson Hole with his dad. I hate being home alone because I get so scared. Anyways, it is now the 4th and I started to think about what this day means to me. The first thing that comes to mind is that song "God bless the USA"
I'm proud to be an American
where at least I know I'm free,
And I won't forget the men who died
who gave that right to me,
And I gladly stand up next to you
and defend her still today,
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God Bless the U.S.A.
As cheesy as it sounds I am so grateful to live in the U.S.A. I think as people we dwell on the negative. Like food prices, gas prices, and the economy. I do it all the time. But when I hear this song it helps me remember how LUCKY I am. Lucky, that I can decide what religion I am, what I want to be, how many kids I can have, who my leaders are, what laws are passed, freedom to say what I want, freedom to dress how I want............I can go on forever. Then, I think about how SO many people have given their lives so I can have those freedoms. It brings tears to my eyes. I have family that have fought for this country and I am so grateful for that. I want to teach my kids that they are blessed to live here. Next time someone says they aren't proud to be American, they can get out!!! Make room for those of us that want to be here! HAPPY 4TH!!!!!!!!
