The morning of June 12, 2009 I was scheduled to be induced. The hospital told us to come in at 7:45 am and I was checked in by 8:00 am. My doctor broke my water with hopes that it would start labor. ( I've been 3.5 cm dilated 70 % effaced and a +3 station for weeks.) Nothing happens. I was put on Pitocin at 10:00 am. Contractions start but don't hurt that bad. I was having a ton of back labor. At about 11:55 I beg for an epidural threw very painful and close contractions. The nurse checks me and I'm at a 7. I try to get a epidural but just before he gives it to me I felt like I needed to push. I was already at a 10! So no pain relief for me!!! I pushed for 5 minutes and our little guy was born at 12:12 pm.
After he's born we had some time to hold him and bond. When they were about to move me to the recovery room I started to bleed way to much and they did every thing they could to stop it. 4 hours later it was under control and I was able to see my boys again. Oh he is adorable. I can't believe how different they look. I am so excited to see him. I would love to come by and visit if you're feeling up to it.
SOOOO cute! And how great that you only had to push for 5 minutes! I'm also totally jealous of your "before" picture...I SO don't look like that before I have my babies! I look more like a house. :)
