Home Sweet Home

I went home to California this weekend!! It was so good to be home. It was just Zac and I that went. I was so sad that Ethan couldn't come. Most of the time when I go home I spend so much time in the car trying to see everyone and do everything. This time it was alot more relaxing. Well, as relaxing as you can get with a one year old. I missed my flight on the way there because security took almost an hour to get threw. So I got another flight 7 hours later. The only problem was we checked Zac's car seat and it was half way to California. Ethan called his sister and asked if he could borrow hers. (Thanks Joelle) I took Zac home so I could get him a nap before having to go back to the airport. He didn't sleep!! I think it was because we didn't have his sleep sack or sound maker . So we go back to the airport and everything goes smoothly this time around but I have a VERY tired little boy. I was so lucky that when we took off he fell asleep for most of the flight. When we got to California were greeted by 103 degree weather. Once we got to my parents house the trip got fun. Zac spent so much time outside running around. My parents have a big backyard with a fence around it so I could let him run around worry free. Zac liked to just sit in the sun (with sunscreen of course) and torment the cats.

One of my favorite things about going home is the food. I love all the different restaurants in California. They have everything !!! They opened a Pinkberry by my parents house so Sarah and I got some and it is sooooo good!!! I always come home from California FATTER. The next day I showed Zac off to everyone at church. Most of the people there knew me when I was a baby so it was fun to have them see MY baby. One thing I always have to do when I am home is go to the beach. I love the beach and I would live there if I could. Zac has been to the beach once before but he was to young to really understand it. this time he didn't know what to think of it. He liked eating the sand but didn't like the water!!! I cant believe that my boy doesn't like the water! How sad! I think it was because the waves were so big. I wish I had my surfboard.

On Monday we went to visit great grandma Kingsley who has been at an assisted living center. Zac couldn't go into the room because of his age but great grandma's room is on the first floor. My mom was able to take him up to the window from the outside so they could see each other. They both reached out and touched the window together. It brought tears to my eyes.

My parents had so much fun with their grandson. I am so glad we were able to visit. I hope I can go back soon.

That makes me so sad! I loved being in AZ just for the fact that I was just a few hours from California! We always take the kids to the beach when we visit my parents. Looks like you had a great trip!

cute pictures. I loved taking Lincoln to the beach, I think I was more scared of the water than he was. I'll see you soon!

How fun!! I'm glad Zac slept on the plane for you. That sure makes a world of difference. It's always fun to go home and show off your baby.

We were just there too! It would be fun to call California home. I'm glad that you could go for a visit. Jenna didn't like the water that much either but she loved the sand. :)
